Backup using two different tape device concurently.

Is there a way to use two different tape device concurrently. Our backup time is increasing everyday. I though that is there a way to use two different tape device together, the backup will decreased much, 1/2 of the current. I am using ontape currently. However, onbar is also applicaple.
