msg during start up of memory and shmem

Hello all,
I have a question about a msg in online.log during start up. My shvirtsize
is 491520 and onstat - reports memory allocation of 1,292,456. The hp-ux
11.00 shmmax is 1.6 gig and maxtsize_64 (code space) is 1.6 gig. I would
think I have enough mem allocated in unix as well as enough allocated in
IFMX. Why is IFMX unable to allocate a single mem segment if unix is
allocating 1.6 gig to a 1.3 gig process? IFMX 7.31 uc2a. KAIO is on.
tia!!!

There are probably kernel parameters which limit the total size of a single
shared memory segment. I'm not too familiar with HP-UX but if you know how
to explore the kernel settings you could start there until someone who knows
what they are talking about chimes in.
