Although this is probably old information for alot of you, I find that about once a month or so, I'm asked, "What is db4glgen?"... "Where can I get dbinfo?" Well here are descriptions of all the Informix tools that I've written and how to get them. Please send all questions and comments about this posting or my Informix tools to dave@das13.snide.com or das13!dave. dbbeauty - 4GL program beautifier version 1.1 dbinfo - prints the schema of a database table to stdout version 4.1 dblist - dumps the contents of a database table to stdout version 4.0 dbloader, dbunloader - generates "load/unload" statements version 1.3 dbrepair - repair "dirpath" column in "systables" table version 1.0 dbreserved - scans Informix database tables for key words version 1.1 dbsyntax - checks the syntax of SQL statements version 1.0 db4glgen - generates 4gl code for a basic data-entry screen version 3.19 dbform - generate default data entry forms version 1.0 vie - views/corrects Informix-4GL error files version 1.1 The above programs are available from the machines "das13" and "mathcs". You can reach "das13" through the archive-server or ANONUUCP (ANONFTP is available through "mathcs.emory.edu"), the info you need follows...
