I run oncheck on a 12Gb sized table and got the following error:
$> oncheck -cD dwh:facturacion
TBLspace data check for dwh:dwh.facturacion
Cannot allocate 187919446 bytes for 'remainder pieces used bitmap'
Where does online look for the above bytes? filesystem (/tmp), dbspacetemp
or memory?.
My host has enough disk but little free memory.
I believe oncheck is reporting a failure of malloc() to allocate memory.

If you are on Solaris run a truss, that should confirm it's a malloc
error
