Who can make backups using onbar

Can another user besides root or informix use onbar to make backups. We are new to the onbar world and have very little knowledge of what works and what doesnt within onbar. Everytime we backup our instance using onbar, following error is recorded in onbar's log file: 2000-02-10 19:57:01 5564 5563 ERROR: You must be user root or informix to run ON-Bar The back continues past the error and finishes successfully. So, should we only make backups as informix or root or is it okay to use another login? Does it effect the restore in any way? A quick answer would be of great help!! Thx, Shehla
