Chunk not dropped. ISAM error: No such chunk
On IDS 7.31 (Solaris/VxVM raw devices), an attempt to drop a chunk with onspaces -d ... -o 4 failed with "Chunk not dropped. ISAM error: No such chunk". The cause was simply the wrong offset value on the command line: the chunk's actual offset (shown in onstat -d as 1, i.e. 2 KB on this platform) didn't match what was supplied. One reply suggested the chunk size instead, which was also wrong. Re-running with -o 2, matching the displayed offset, dropped the chunk successfully.

I figured it out. For sun servers it's 2k offset so I forgot to use:
onspaces -d hds_01 -p /ifmx/ifmxehdsp/lv_hds_01_01 -o 2
Which worked.
