hi, I like to migrate HP ids7.3 to AIX ids9.4. I hope that I can migrate to AIX without stopping HP server, or just for a few hours. I have about 100 GB data, and I thinks that It is impossible to migrate in a few hours, even use Art S. Kagel's dbcopy. Is anyone can give me some good advice ?

For that much data, I'd use the HPLoader. Unless the data is split into MANY relatively small tables, dbcopy cannot keep up with hploader. If many many tables, then the overhead of hploader and the ease of creating scripts to dbcopy many tables at once and to copy a larger table with multiple copies of dbcopy, can make dbcopy a preferred choice. For raw speed though hploader is superior. Art S. Kagel
