Re: Database administration tool for Informix?

We're looking at SNMP for a general monitoring framework using HP Openview. So far, it seems EXTREMELY cumbersome to use. It can accomplish things like paging or e-mail notification. The main reason we're using it is because it's easily extensible. We're going to write SNMP "MIBS" to monitor our own proprietary applications and hardware. This will enable us to give our customers an integrated monitoring station.
