No need for onarchive to do this. Simply:
ontape -s -L 0 -B mydatabase
0 = zero
-B = Buffered Logging, other mode available check your docs.
On NT, ondblog is also available to turn on/off logging, but I believe it
still requires a Level-zero backup to turn logging on. Haven't used it in
a while, so off the top of my head can't confirm. It doesn't require the
backup to turn logging off.
As I mentioned in another post about this, using dbimport without the
logging is faster, and won't cause problems with large tables.
One feature I'd like to see with dbimport/dbexport is the ability to load
just a group of tables, or unload just a group of tables, and manage the
constraints, etc. just like it does for a whole data base. This would
allow me to unload sub-systems based on logical or physical models.
