Restore using ontape

All,
I have a level zero backup ( using ontape -s L 0). I had one of the dbspaces
in the database corrupted. So i dropped the dbspace.
In order to do that, I had to drop the database to which it belonged.
I then ran (ontape -r -D dbspacename) and it said restored fine. But
unforutnately , i am unable to create the database.
It gives sql error -225( cannot create file for system catalog) ISAM -102
(illegal arg to ISAM function)
I cannot even drop the dbspace as it gives error (saying it contains data).
Could someone please help me with this.
Do I have to recreate the database/dbspace whenever such thing
happens(dbspace corruption).
Thanks in advance,

Next time, either manually drop the dbspace and recreate it manually OR
restore it from archive if it becomes corrupted. What has happened is
that the database is gone from the DATABASE TABLESPACE, since you dropped
it, but the dbspace header and bitmap pages on the dbspace you restored
still have the data from the database as it existed at the time the
archive was taken. It is likely that the ONLY solution now is to do a
full restore of the entire instance. I hope you have logged databases and
are saving your logical logs (ie LTAPEDEV != /dev/null)!
One option will be to try taking another archive, do a full restore from
the original archive then do dbspace restores of the OTHER dbspaces to
get them back to latest versions.
