We have a product that uses a V4.10 SE dbase and need to upgrade it so that it will run under NT. Does any one know of a quick route? Pete M

You have two problems: one migrating the database to NT and the other migrating the application to NT. As tsutoo@my-deja.com suggested, the combination of DB-Export on the 4.10 SE system and DB-Import on the NT system should be the quickest way to migrate the data. Migrating the application will require a rewrite by someone -- and I'm so glad it isn't me. How painful that translation or rewrite is depends on what it is currently written in, and whether you have the source code for it, and whether the original vendor is still in business and can help you. -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"
