RE: using setnet32 in windows nt and saving environment

The Informix Web Site http://www.informix.com/informix/grants/sharewarecoop/utilities/copydefault. htm has the CopyDefault.exe utility which is described below. An NT-specific Utility - Version 1.0.0 by Guy Bowerman, Informix' NT Servers Development Group, Menlo Park Copydefault.exe is a bit like regcopy.exe, except that instead of copying the contents of: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Informix to: HKEY_USERS\\.DEFAULT\\Software\\Informix It copies the contents of: HKEY_USERS\\.DEFAULT\\Software\\Informix to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Informix This could be useful when an administrator wants to give every user the same Informix Setnet settings, but doesn't want to set them manually for each user using setnet32. Instead, they could set the required values in .DEFAULT (by running regcopy as a user who is already set up for example) and then setting CopyDefault to run at logon time for each user. -----Original Message----- From: Rob Wilson [mailto:rwilson@ntsource.com] Sent: Monday, December 21, 1998 08:18 To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Re: using setnet32 in windows nt and saving environment I believe that this is regcopy.exe. This executable is used so that registry entries on one machine are copied from being user-specific to being accessible to all users.
