I assume you are doing level-0. So why not try doing level-0 weekly,
and level-1 daily. That should reduce the time, but at the cost of a
slightly longer restore.
Then of course there is onbar ...

I wonder whether there are any ways to improve the speed of back up. I
am currently using ontape to back up the database to dell autoloader
daily.
The back up time is about 4 hours for the database size of about 75 GB.
Any suggestion.

No-one does incremental back-ups any more, Malcolm. You're showing your age!
