Neil, What's wrong with Taxachusetts??? John F. Coyle Senior Database Administrator Yankee Candle Co. jfc@yankeecandle.com >>> "Neil Truby" <ntruby@netcomuk.co.uk> 08/03/00 02:12PM >>> > Data Base Administrator > Louisianna > To $50K Wow! People in Louisiana don't get much, do they? I say this relativeto the other salaries quoted, and on the assumption that "to 50K" means a maximum of 45K if you include the cost of your desk, PC and LAN as part of your package. What's wrong with Louisiana then? I quite liked New Orleans in a "For-Christ's-Sake-Don't-leave-the touristic-quarter-square-mile" sort of way. But Baton Rouge, I have to tell you, has the worst Visitor Centre I've ever visited (excluding, of course, those in Massacussettes). Sonmeone in Baton Rouge even mistook my nasally Limey accent and asked if I was South African! Please! Pip! Pip! Neil Travel Correspondent to c.d.i
Gee, I betcha the Visitor's Center (note American spelling, please) probably has a big exhibit of the main Mass. attractions, like: Boston Tea Party Boston Massacre Battle of Breed's Hill Lexington & Concord Faniel Hall Just little items we colonials like to remember..... Er, no, my complaint about MA was actually that the Visitor's Centers were generally shut. I've nothing against MA, or the USA generally - great place to visit, as I have multiple times - just its visitor facilities. I've heard of the Boston tea Party, but none of the other events you mention (although I've stayed in Lexington, KY - is this something different?). However, my knowledge of American indepedence history is sketchy - I must get along and see "The Patriot" to see how it really was :-) Doug Agnew <dagnew@charlottepipe.com> wrote in message news:cyki5.8040$4m5.14328@news4.mco... > Gee, > > I betcha the Visitor's Center (note American spelling, please) probably has > a big exhibit of the main Mass. attractions, like: > > Boston Tea Party > Boston Massacre > Battle of Breed's Hill > Lexington & Concord > Faniel Hall > > Just little items we colonials like to remember..... > > Doug. > > > "John Coyle" <Jfc@yankeecandle.com> wrote in message > news:8mci55$bek$1@news.xmission.com... > > > > Neil, > > > > What's wrong with Taxachusetts??? > > > > > > John F.
