RE: isolation in an ACE report

I sent this to classics@iiug.org, but it never hit the list. This is a repost. Is there a way to set isolation to dirty read in an ace report? I've noticed that when a table has a lock on it, the ace report stops reading at the point of the lock and then produces output, many times leaving out LOTS of the data. Can you put it in the Perform definition? I haven't worked with ACE reports in many years. Rob, I found the following that may help. http://www.iiug.org/resources/faq/ifaq04b.htm.1#4.3.3 4.3.3 How can I set isolation levels in an ACE report? Since so many of you asked for confirmation of this undocumented feature, here is the scoop: The environment variable is SACEISOL and the valid values are: DIRTY READ or dirty read COMMITTED READ or committed read CURSOR STABILITY or cursor stability REPEATABLE READ or repeatable read -for Bourne or Korn- SACEISOL="CURSOR STABILITY" export SACEISOL If you use SACEISOL with SE, it is ignored. No error is returned. Eric B. Rowell On 2/13/06, Konikoff, R.... <rob.konikoff@us.army.mil> wrote: > > > I sent this to classics@iiug.org, but it never hit the list.
