Problem compiling utils2_ak

I am getting errors compiling the utils2 package. It is an old Solaris x86 (version 7) system that is running version 7.10 of informix SE. Here are the particulars: % uname -a SunOS host.domain.com 5.7 Generic_106542-23 i86pc i386 i86pc % gcc -v Reading specs from /usr/sww/pkg/egcs-1.1.2/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-solaris2.6/egcs-2.91.66/specs gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314 (egcs-1.1.2 release) % gmake -v GNU Make version 3.74, by Richard Stallman and Roland McGrath. % esqlc -v INFORMIX-ESQL Version 7.10.UD1 When I run gmake I get: % gmake INFORMIXC=gcc esql -O -o ul ul.ec -L/usr/lib -lgen INFORMIXC=gcc esql -O -o printfreeB printfreeB.ec INFORMIXC=gcc esql -O -o listdb5 listdb5.ec INFORMIXC=gcc esql -O -o listdb7 listdb7.ec INFORMIXC=gcc esql -O -o dostats dostats.ecesqlc: "dostats.ec", line 1771: Error -33040: Object 'statement2' was not declared. esqlc: "dostats.ec", line 2789: Error -33051: Syntax error on identifier or symbol 'char'. esqlc: "dostats.ec", line 2844: Error -33040: Object 'tabid' was not declared. 3 error(s) found gmake: *** [dostats] Error 1 Any Ideas?

You can try enabling the #defines for 4GL in the makefile. That should disable the code and define in older syntax. Email me directly if you are still having problems or that doesn't make sense.
