If your DBA has not yet logged a case for this "problem", then do so now.
If you have a case / bug number then check the status with Informix tech
support, it may already be fixed or a patch may be available.
It is unlikely that dbaccess has many problems, and if it develops them,
they are likely to be fixed quickly.

dbaccess is supplied with the database server, and is more likely to be
kept up to date than isql, which is a separate product. If you are
writing code for clients, then you can be pretty sure they will have
dbaccess, but they will probably not have isql.
You can create links between dbaccess & isql in either direction, but
that is usually a temporary fix.
