SDK and Linux

I recently downloaded Informix SDK 2.30 UC 1 for RedHat Linux and the rpm has told me that I require libifgls.so and libifglx.so as prerequisites. I've been through deja and Informix's site, but can't find a reference to these libraries. Are they part of another product? My reading of Client SDK was that it pretty much stood by itself without additional Informix bits, but the install suggests otherwise. Is there somewhere I can obtain these two libs for my OS? BTW, I'm doing this to allow PHP/Apache access to a remote database server. The machine with Apache/PHP is RedHat 6.1 and the remote database server is IDS-Workgroup edition 7.3 running on SCO Openserver 5.05. Thanks in advance Bryan Tonnet bryan@printman.com.au

As I mentioned in passing in a previous posting tonight, you need to use the --nodeps optionto override this problem. I've also heard of, but not personally experienced, a problem with /bin/sh being an unfound pre-requisite under some circumstances, with a product/version that I now forget. It's a bug in the CSDK 2.30 RPM file. You might try the CSDK 2.40 version instead, though I don't know that it is any better. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.95 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
Bryan, I recently had exactly the same problem installing IIF2000 (Development Version) and the Client SDK on Red Hat Linux. I believe you should install all packages with your CD (including CONNECT.RPM) plus the Client SDK you downloaded. When rpm -i fails, use rpm -i --nodeps, if that fails also use rpm -i --replacefiles --nodeps. I believe this might work.
