By default, pre-6.00 would always start 2 tbinit processes: one for the
master daemon, and one for each page cleaner, for which the default is 1.
If you've been running with zero page cleaners, you've been running with
a pretty ropey config and should be shot by a firing squad if you had a
hand in configuring it.
(OK if you like drinking tea a lot. Sorry, I couldn't resist stealing
that from the recent OS/2 warp commercials.)
You should have 1 page cleaner per raw disk drive, BTW. The more raw disk
drives, the better. Oh, and no RAID disks. Please. Purr-leeeeez.
