-461 on NT using ESQL/C

I want to run an ESQL/C program on a Windows NT server running IDS 7.30. This program will read in a text file and based on data in the file, update, add or ignore records. I want to schedule and run the program using the 'AT' command. I have create the ESQL/C program and if I run the program from the MS-DOS prompt, everything seems fine. (That made my day). I used the 'AT' command to open a MS-DOS window to run the ESQL/C program. The program gets a -461 on the connect statement. This program does not use any text or byte columns, nor does it use the locator structure? I used ESQL/C 9.13. Any insite would be appreciated.
Environment. It can't find one or more files that it wants. The message is horribly misleading -- and has been for a while. Hey, Tech Pubs -- hasn't this been fixed yet? Error -461 is not only about blobs any more, and usually indicates an invalid environment. Applies to Unix and (it seems) NT. Yes, the spurious -461 also happens, for similar reasons, if the message file version is wrong for the application such as when you compile with an SDK v2.xx ESQL/C (v9.xx) compiler but try to run in a 7.xx runtime environment without installing the 2.xx iConnect that corresponds. It looks like it just picks this error number because it is hardcoded somewhere in the message file search module. This ought to be changed to a defined error number, also hard coded, that finderr can return a message like: Your environment is not set up properly, the application cannot find the message files or if the message file was found it was an earlier version than the application expected to find. Thanks for the info. I updated the Informix SDK and the message change to 1829. I only get this message when I try to run the program for a MS-DOS prompt started unsing the AT command. I have added ifx_putenv("INFORMIXDIR=d:\\informix") to the program, then printf("getenv INFORMIXDIR % s\\n",ifx_getenv(INFORMIXDIR); and the program prints getenv INFORMIX (null) The INFORMIXDIR environment variable is also set in the command shell. How do I get the INFORMIXDIR variable into the program. Computers certainly have a way of making you humble, I thought I was all set, This program runs from my Win95 computer and when logged onto the NT server. But when using the system user on NT from the AT command, no dice. Any advice will be apprecirated.
