I-Connect Problems

I've checked my $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts, /etc/services, /etc/hosts over and over. I can ping the host but I can't get a connection via I-Login or DBPing to my Informix database. It keeps coming up with a -908 error, which is to do with the server name but I've checked and its right? Is there anything else I can check before I jump out the window? Paul
Paul, I appears from your brief description that you are connecting from a windows client to a UNIX server, since you are using I-login on the client and you describe $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts for the server. Things to check: Does your service name/number match between the PC and server? Does the host name/IP (assuming IP) match between PC and server? Have you run setnet32 and checked the PC settings vs. your server's sqlhosts/ env variables? Hope this helps.
