Hello, we have an AIX server with Informix Dynamic Server 2000 Version 9.21.UC4 all informix chunks are mirrorred using informix mirrorring sample : disk 1 rootdbs, dat1dbsm, ... disk 2 rootdbsm, dat1dbs, ... our disks are becoming to small so we have to replace them Is the following procedure correct : a) stop informix b) remove disk 1 c) start informix to see if everything still works d) stop informix again e) insert new disk and create the raw devices !!! question : do I need to do anything to start rebuilding the mirrors ? f) restart the whole procedure for disk2 thanks in advance
Check out onspaces, basically you should bring the mirror back on
line and it will resync. Alternatively you can manually drop the
mirror, change disk and then re-mirror.
