No chance !
You can't restore the same version on IDS across differing flavours
of Unix, nor restore a database to a different version of IDS on the
same Unix so what you are attempting is a total non-starter.
Dbexport/DbImport will work as will multiple
' select from "remote win server" insert into "local table" '
in dbaccess on the unix box.

You can restore between some close versions, and between the F and U variants on the same version.
dhaya, after yesterdays suggestion you went on a solaris admin class, can I also suggest you take the IDS admin clases
