If you have IDS 9.xx you can use a type cast. Otherwise and anyway the
engine will automatically convert to whatever host type you declare the
bound variable as. So just define that ADO recordset field corresponding
to the constant as a DECIMAL and it will be a decimal. That works in
ESQL/C, CLI, 4GL, DBD/DBI Perl, etc should work in ADO also.
