problem by restore with ontape

dear newsgroupmembers, we restore from system a to system b. on system b we set the TAPEDEV to the tape on system a with a:/dev/rStp0 everything works well so far. after restoring 2.127.529 pages the system response to the onstat was:"shared memory not initialized for INFORMIXSERVER ol_a" On the terminal where i started the session stod:"physical restore failed - the archiv backup is corrupted" in the Informix log is nothing found our Versions of Informix: on system a 7.31 uc2 on system b 7.31 uc5 the os on pc servers is both sco open server identical versions i hope you can help me fix the problem. thanks markus scheer Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Markus, It might be that your versions of Informix don't match. uc2 and uc5 means that there's a patch release somewhere that you didn't apply to one of them. Try getting them to be the same version of Informix and see how your restore goes. Is it feasible to simply take the tape out of a and insert it into b? Also, if the database(s) are small enough, you might just want to export them using dbexport or something.
