Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Set the informix environment up in the script that runs dbaccess:
For example (assumes online):
INFORMIXDIR=/usr/informix
INFORMIXSERVER=testserver
export INFORMIXDIR INFORMIXSERVER
PATH=$INFORMIXDIR/bin:$PATHdbaccess testdb sqlfile
That should do it, remember to redirect output to a file if you are doing selects.

Helper(s),
Is there any way that I can run a SQL through dbaccess - <sqlfile>
specified as a cron job in AIX.
I've tried it this "/usr/informix/bin - /usr/informix/sqlfile.sql" as the
command to the cron. There's a -32766 error which upon investigation could be
INFORMIXDIR set incorrectly.
Any idea how I can do this ?
