Jamie, Thanks for the tidbit about long names. If your apps have been built with a lot of interdependencies (INCLUDEs, EXTERNAL FUNCTIONs, etc.) then the makefile correctly sees these and says, "Recompile." Sometimes the recompilation can become "circular" in that when a module farther down the line gets recompiled, it kicks off the recompilation of an earlier one. The way around this is to minimize INCLUDEs by redesigning the structure. The external functions should be commented out when doing many compiles per day and then uncomment them periodically and compile (also, before the code is released). You want to catch as many errors in calling functions as possible at compile time.
