An owner of a company wants to speak with a IS manager who has managed a significant (25 or more people) IS department/division. He/She has to have at least 7 years of MANAGEMENT experience plus technical knowledge. The owner would like the person to help him assess the IS needs of his $70 million company and help in buying software, hardware and hiring of IS personnel. An ideal candidate would be: - a CIO that also does some consulting work. - a MIS Director The owner does not want to deal with the large consulting firms like, Price Waterhouse, Anderson Consulting etc.... He wants someone who can give him sound advice based on his/her experience. He especially wants help in hiring IS professionals. How do I go about finding this type of person? The owner does not want a PowerBuilder developer or Oracel DBA etc..., (I can do these too). He is looking for a top manager that also consults. Any information will be greately appreciated! Thank you. -Mir.
