I am NOT RUNning a seperate program but just calling a C subroutine. Also this "effect" started after I recompiled everything with version 4.10 of Informix 4GL. This is rather unfortunate because my users are logged in through 2400 baud modems and repainting the screen takes a looooong time. >Presumably, the ^R will call some kind of stty command to re-sane the >screen. Perhaps I'll try and call such a piece of code myself. Have you also noticed that when you are RUNning some program that Informix 4GL doesn't reset the terminal to the same state it was in before the 4GL program was started ? What I tried to do was to start a ZMODEM transfer from 4GL but I never managed to get it to work when I used RUN from Informix to start it (The ZMODEM transfer works perfectly before and after the 4GL program is run).
