What do you think of when you hear the term IMS?

Ok... maybe I'm showing my age, but when I hear the term IMS, I think of IBM's mainframe 'database' prior to DB2. (Notice the 'database' in quotes...) When IBM says IMS, its their new Facebook page for Information Mangement. Ok, lets stop right there. Yes I do applaud IBM for thinking out of the box and putting up a facebook page to reach out to potential customers. Unfortunately, I don't know how many people will reach out to IBM that way. (Do you really want your non-geek friends (if you have them) to know that you're 'friends' with IBM? :-P) Seriously I think its a neat idea. I'm actually working with my sister's company to launch a viral marketing campaign via Facebook. (Yes, IBM a true viral campaign, not something IBM's IM has attempted.) ;-) What I find interesting is the use of IMS, and also the fact that Facebook's new Terms of Service (ToS) stipulates anything done on Facebook is now and in perpetude (forever) property of Facebook, even if you take it down in the future. I wonder how IBM's legal beagles feel about this. It may mean nothing, but those nifty graphics and photos are now the property of Facebook. Even those pictures of Stu drinking shots with those cross dressing 'ladies of the night' are now property of Facebook. (Just kidding Stu, I didn't put them up, unless someone else did. I guess you're not going to be able to run for public office now. :-) And that's really the point of the post. Facebook's ToS and the potential for viral marketing.
