Title: Computer Specialist Location: Austin, Texas Perform a variety of specialized INFORMIX database maintenance activities related to an assigned project; responsible for major aspects of complex and sophisticated projects involving interagency or intra-Department coordination, of such scope as the redesign of nationwide systems, or the development of online applications; work independently in the development and documentation of all required phases to successfully complete a user request; assist in identifying problems in existing applications. Participate in all conversions or upgrades within system. Requirements: Minimum of 1 year experience with the ability to implement INFORMIX databases into a UNIX based environment; ability to install other systems of software applications into a UNIX based environment. Knowledge of ADP S/W and H/W terminology. Ability to communicate orally and written. Must be able to support a large-scale database system.
