Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I seem to remember the 7.30 manual states that installation order is
unimportant, unlike previous versions. My guess would be something wrong
with your environment variables, particularly INFORMIXDIR or PATH.
But that's just a guess....

Actually, the release notes for 4GL reiterate the engine/tools/i18l
sequence. Oh -- and for those of you who are lazy non-GLS types, don't
forget to set CLIENT_LOCALE and DB_LOCALE after you upgrade. They seem to be
required now.
That's an odd thing really -- we'd run a machine (now toasted) on 7.20
toolset without problems, and updated the tools on our main development box
to 7.20, and did a build (sucessfully) yesterday. I come in this morning,
and nothing works (no connects, no builds) until we fix the locale problem
(-23101 IIRC). Go figure.
