Need help w/ setup of sqlcmd

I recently downloaded sqlcmd version 40 and I'm trying to install it on an HPUX 7.10 system. I'm having difficulty setting it up. Is there any documentation out there for the configuration section of the makefile? Or is there a pre-existing configuration that I can use? Any help you can give on this subject w/d be greatly appreciated!
Woops! I meant HPUX 10.10. That should work better! Phew - I was about to chastise you for using antiques.
I did once have an early version of SQLCMD (it was called RDSQL
in those days) running on HP-UX 8.x, but never anything earlier,
I think.

You should be able to use an existing HPUX entry in the config.h
file. Hence, you'll change the -DSYSTEM=SOLARIS_2x to -DSYSTEM=HPUX,
or something similar. You need to establish which version of ESQL/C
you are using. Using 'esql -V' tells you; you need 724 if you're
using 7.24.UC3, for example. You might want to mess about with
STR_SYSTEM, but it doesn't matter too much. Other than that, it
should be relatively smooth sailing.
You will need an ANSI C compiler - the bundled C compiler on HP-UX
won't work. If you only have the bundled C compiler, then hasten to
http://egcs.cygnus.com and download the EGCS (GCC replacement)
compiler. Compile, install, and use that. You may need to set
INFORMIXC=gcc in your environment.
If you run into problems with Yacc, you should be able to use
CONNECTY.C instead - you'd copy it to connecty.c, and the make
process should then use that in place of trying to use Yacc.
One of the 3000 things I'm trying to do is autoconfiscate SQLCMD.
This is the approved jargon for having the autoconf command work
out all the messy configuration details for you automatically. It
is harder to do than some other programs because I'm having to write
the ESQL/C auto-configuration macros as I go.
If you are still having problems after this, drop me a note at the
office, and include details of which version of ESQL/C you are using.
