Can we go to Linux?

Dear Informix Guru's, One of our applications is currently running IDS 9.21.FC4XQ under HP-UX 11.0 64-bit. We use I-4GL version 7.30.FC7 and ESQL-C version 9.30.FC1. Our higher-up's are pushing us to begin using Linux. We also need to upgrade to IDS 9.4. Can we upgrade to IDS 9.4 and go to Linux and remain a 64-bit application. The IBM and HP websites lead us to believe this is not supported. Rob Schmitz

IDS 9.4 is supported on itanium ie 64 bit, but you have to consider if all of your IT could run on itamium too. We currently have IDS 9.3 on HP-UX 11 64 bit with I-4gl applications, but can't upgrade to itanium right now 'cause other tecnologies (a part IDS) are not currently supported on itanium. Our plan is to acquiere a server who works with PA-RISC and Itanium and when all the tecnology we need are supported on itanium we change the pa-riscs with the itaniums. Hope this help.
