remote synonym for table with boolean column (bug?)
Hi, everybody,
I've just found a very strange problem that reproduces in 9.21uc4 and
9.40uc2:
1. Create table containing boolean:
create table test_tab (aaa boolean)2. In another database (on the same server), create remote synonym for that
table:
create synonym test for test:test_tab;3. Get a very strange error "999: Not implemented yet"
Is it a known problem? Any workaroud?

additional information on that:
1. You can't even do a remote select on that column;
2. You still can do remote select on other non-boolean columns
of that table

This is
a known "That's just how it works" problem. There is no work around according
to tech support. I was lucky and didn't need the boolean column mapped in the
synonym, so I created a view in the source database that selected all
non-boolean columns from the source table. Then created my synonym on the view
instead of the actual table. I cannot, however, get this method to work in
9.30 which is quite irritating.
