AW: remote synonym for table with boolean column (bug?) [2371]

Some additional information on that:
1. You can't even do a remote select on that column;
2. You still can do remote select on other non-boolean columns
of that table

Yes, it is a known problem. The bug reproduces in IDS 9.x for all
values of x from 00 through 40. The workarounds may or may not be
palatable. The simplest is to change the column type to:
colname CHAR(1) NOT NULL CHECK(colname IN ('f', 't'))
The fix for this is not scheduled to appear until 9.50.
