Error 25572 using ESQL/Cobol

Hello, We installed Informix IDS 7.31UD1 on a Solaris 10 server (Primepower 250). We also installed ESQL/Cobol 7.25 UC1. During the installation, no problems were encountered. Accessing the database via dbaccess works fine, but when we use ESQL/Cobol, the error 25572 (Isam 8) is given when trying to open the database. The sqlhosts file and /etc/services seem to be allright. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks.

Reinstall the engine. You have to install the older ESQL/Cobol before the newer engine version. This rule overrides the basic Rule of TEN. Art S.
