No, I'd agree with the person who said to keep your virtual segments to 1 (and no, I wasn't the one who said that in the first place :-) It appears, though, that it isn't limited to HP (as other people may have implied). I saw some unofficial tests which indicated that most platforms (of the small group that was tested) showed some degradation after 2 or 3 virtual segments were added.
