Why isn't ODBC an option? As I can see it it's your only option to run any reportwriter on a Windows workstation if you by that means an MS Windows based PC. Of course you could use a reportwriter that supports I-Net/I-Connect directly, but that's no real option in my book. Other than this how would you "let it TCP/IP" to the database? That's exactly what ODBC does for you. If you have a reasonably new TCP/IP protocol installed (preferably the one that comes with Windows 95/NT) installing ODBC on top of it is easy. On old (Windows 3.x) TCP/IP transports you will have to get the right winsock dll as well. Check out http://www.openlinksw.com or http://www.vision.sco.com for ODBC drivers.
