Re: Gil Figueroa, Keynote Speaker
Posted in 2000
Posters discussed the Gil Figueroa keynote thread, mainly whether another poster's replies were badly threaded. Matti Lamprhey complained that posts started new threads. Impy suggested the poster only receives the group via the Informix listserv, so he could not keep replies threaded, and Matti accepted that as a plausible excuse. No technical content.

Alright, by "incorrectly threaded" I don't mean the format of your posts but the way they tend to start a new thread instead of hanging off the post they're responding to. Does your newsreader (I can't tell which you use) not group posts together in a hierarchical sort of fashion? Matti
Matti, I think OTC just receives email via Informix listserv. Under those circumstances, I don't think he would be able to keep his replies in the group (threaded). How did I do? Did I meet your specs? I was beginning to realise the significance of the "listserv" header thingy, so perhaps the pair of funsters have some feeble excuse after all. Matti
