Hi, In the latest versions it is your choice. There are no utilities provided. All Redbrick data is stored in cooked files. if the main concern is corruption, and there is no archival process to get back the database in some known point in time when its 'clean', what should a dba do about that? are there some utilities to check for corruption in the load files, or some things to check the tables, indexes etc. Frank Fudd wrote: > Hi, > > In the latest versions it is your choice. Do you want to check for corruption in the load files or database files? Some utilities to check and fix corruption in database files: ALTER SEGMENT... VERIFY: checks the PSUs of the segment for read/write errors. REORG: can delete and write to a file all records that shouldn't be in the table either by corruption or whatever. (5.1) tblchk: A utility to update the number of rows in the segment's header with what is found in the segment. Replaced with CHECK TABLE... SQL command in version 6.0. (5.1) ixvalid: Checks index structure. Replaced with CHECK INDEX... SQL command in version 6.0.
