Hello I'm using Informix 4GL 7.20.UD4 compiler for HP-UX 10.20. I want to use a LOCALE that support scandinavian characters. No matter how I set those funny little environment variables (CLIENT_LOCALE, DB_LOCALE, SERVER_LOCALE, LANG, ..) I don't get ex. UPSHIFTed characters in my form. Thank for any help! Pentti
If you created database with DB_LOCALE and you used 'nchar', 'nvarchar' instead of 'char', 'varchar' on your tables all must to be ok. Check ' select * from sysmaster:sysdbslocale' for locale of your database - DB_LOCALE must be same. If CLIENT_LOCALE != DB_LOCALE check $INFORMIXDIR/gls/cv9 for conversion between them.
