If interrupting a single session can bring down your database (I presume
you mean your OnLine system) you have bigger problems. However, the
easiest solution is for the 4GL programs to include the following:
options
SQL interrupt on
Now, when the user pressed CTRL-C while the program awaits a query, the
program will get an error message to the effect that "Query interrupted
by user". (No, I don't know the error number! Do I look that kind of
total twit? ;-)
