Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Hi,
Good day.
Im having a problem with exporting the database on my Informxi DS2K
(9.4) thru dbexport. I had made some changes to the DB. While trying to
run the dbexport, Its fetches 312 tables out of the 377 table and exits
with the following msg
==============================================
-750 - Invalid distribution format found for grantor
==============================================
browsing the net I came across a mailist posting which said that this
can be fixed by running
======================================
update statistics <high/Low> drop distribution.======================================
Is this right? Im a bit worried abt running command on my server as its
a production server.
So if something goes wrong
1) Can i restore the DB from my level 0 and 1 ?
2) What will this command actually perform ?
Here are the changes that where made on the DB
========================================================================
create function SYSBldSQLTextOut (SYSBldSQLText)
returns lvarchar
external name '$INFORMIXDIR/extend/ifxmngr/ifxmngr.bld(SYSBldSQLTextIn)'
language c;
grant execute on function SYSBldSQLTextOut (SYSBldSQLText) to public;
create cast( SYSBldSQLText as lvarchar with SYSBldSQLTextOut);
