ontape error

Hello! Sometime when I make a level 0 backup with ontape, I get this error: Archive failed - function write to tape failed code -1 errno 28 It was happened when the backup hits 80% My onconfig for the tape device is the following: Tape Device [/dev/rmt/1m ] Block Size [ 512] Kbytes Tape Size [ 10000000] Kbytes I have a DDS3 DAT Drive. I change the drive, I change the tapes, but the error stills. When I ask at Informis support, they say that could be the Bock Size, but nothing, I try 64Kb, 32Kb, 16Kb....and is the same :( I see all stuff posted here, and nothing help me. Any ideas?? It's because the capacity of your tape is less than the 10GBytes you've specified in TAPESIZE. Informix does not handle end-of-tape conditions well. When an archive is to span span multilple tapes, it is important that Informix prompts for a new tape (because TAPESIZE pages have been written) before the physical end of media is written (at which point you get your error 28 - device full). So, set TAPESIZE to, say 8000000, and see how that goes.
