Don't comment out PC_POOLSIZE and PC_HASHSIZE config params (ie. bringing 'em down to defaults) if you're using a lot of stored procedures, for example for implementing business logic in database (Java architects, please don't comment on this :-)). I've learned this the VERY hard way, after practically bringing the performance down to a crippled snail speed...
