Has anyone had problems compiling the myschema program Art wrote? We are using HP-UX 11 on IDS 7.30UC8. When I run the make, I get a lot of errors about it not liking the function declarations because they are an ansi feature. If I put the -ansi flag on there, I get a bunch of errors about lines not being ansi compliant. TIA for any help. James Ferrill
You need either the -Ae or -Aa flag to enable TRUE ANSI source parsing. This is documented in the README and the makefile! One day HP will get the idea that ANSI is the current standard for "C" source. Art S. Kagel James Ferrill wrote: > > Has anyone had problems compiling the myschema program Art wrote? However, you also need to worry about whether the C compiler is actually ANSI-capable. The default, bundled compiler won't handle prototypes at all, even with the -Ae flags. You can tell when you have the bundled compiler; it includes 'Bundled' in the error messages (at least, it mostly does). > James Ferrill wrote: > > Has anyone had problems compiling the myschema program Art wrote?
