Re: OnLine 5.00 database corru
We've came acrossed this problem once. The bug number is 12313: TABLESPACE PAGE CORRUPTION GIVES FAIL CONSISTENCY: PTALLOC. The description of the bug is as follows: It is possible to have a TBLSpace page corrupted by the partition information of another partition. This causes consistency check errors in "turbo.log" something like: partition header error: {Hex-gibberish} page header, slot table and stamp: page xxx slottab yyy {more hex-gibberish} -- Fail Consistency Check -- pthdrpage:ptalloc:bad partn number. Informix does not know why this happens. They just say that its a timing thing. We could do nothing to fix it.
