description of ixbar file?

Hello, I kind of figure out the meaning of some columns in the ixbar file, but not all of them; therefore, I need an official IBM Informix document on this file, but I cannot find it from any where even from IBM web site. Could anyone help? Regards Kern

Hi, hmm. The problem is that the content of ixbar-file (and with that the meaning of columns and values) is subject to change without notice (change can happen from one interim to another). So even if I wanted - with the information you provided I could not give you the correct description ... Also users (here Database System Administrators are included) are not supposed to edit the file. For these reasons the file content is not documented (externally). If you have a specific problem with backup and/or restore and you think it is due to the content of ixbar-file, then please open a "Case" with IBM Informix Technical Support. They have specialists who will decide whether the problem can be fixed by editing the file and will assist you (or login themselves and do it for you).
