You may want to consider LBMS, System Architect, and bachman. Bachman is a primarily a data modelling tool, and from what I have seen the reporting capabilities are not as good as Erwin. LBMS and System Architect are both process modelling tools, with significant learning curves. Systems Architect supports several methodologies, while LBMS supports only one. Also LBMS does not generate triggers . For some one used to ErWin the data modelling capabilities of LBMS are no substitute. Hope this helps : Specs: : * We use ORACLE, SYBASE and INFORMIX (Erwin supports all of these) : * We use several front-end tools like SQL-Windows, : Powerbuilder and Motif. : Thanks for any input as this will help us out big time. : John Dennis
